Clever Marketing Tips to Earn You Business

By July 27, 2012June 10th, 2021Technology News

Marketing isn’t always about being straightforward and advertising your business in newspapers or on TV. Sometimes, you have to figure out a clear, clever way to bring in more business. Being clever in your campaigns means you’re reaching out to an entirely different audience, leading to more business prospects. Below are a couple less obvious ways that you can start earning business today.

Engage Audiences in Your Area of Expertise on Social Media

Seek and engage clients who are talking about your area of expertise on Twitter. You can even talk to other businesses about some topics, or talk to clients that use your competitors when they have questions about services. Monitor and track these conversations so you know what’s going on even when you aren’t around. If your business makes wedding cakes in Iowa, you should be following Tweets where you may have the potential to be useful; following wedding planners, brides to be, and vendors in your area can prove to be a huge advantage. Even if you don’t answer questions, you can reply to happy bride posts with “congrats”! If you’re being genuine with people, they will likely choose to buy from your business, even if you didn’t try to sell them anything when you did post.

Monitor Your Business’ Internet Presence

The easiest way to monitor your business’ Internet presence is to monitor your social media outlets. You can use tools like TweetDeck and Facebook Analytics to help you figure out what’s working for your business and what isn’t working at all. When something doesn’t work, ditch it immediately and try something new until your audience responds positively. Once they do, stick with it – usually it will be a type of content, photo, or question that will get them talking the most.
