Buy Now! SSD Prices To Rise Soon Due To Demand

By December 17, 2016March 2nd, 2023Blog, Technology News

buyxnowIf you’re looking to buy an SSD to replace your older, slower, spinning disk bulk storage, now is the time to buy.

In recent months, the price of SSD technology has been falling, which has caused more widespread adoption, especially in laptops.

This has created an imbalance and resulted in shortages. Laptop manufacturers are struggling to find parts for their wares, and prices have begun to increase.

This is also true of NAND flash memory, which is integral to SSDs, and also used in Smartphones.

Granted, these shifts are temporary. Manufacturers are working to ramp up their production capabilities, but it will take a year or slightly longer for those moves to start bearing fruit.

The point is that if you’re interested in upgrading your equipment, either do it now, or wait a year or more until prices start falling again. Otherwise, you’ll wind up paying more than you need to.

There are some compelling advantages to SSD technology, and chief among them is speed. If you’re trying to milk as much speed out of your infrastructure as you possibly can, they’re an attractive option to consider, but that’s only true insofar as you can pick the tech up while it’s cheap.

The rapidly changing technological landscape can be a nightmare to keep up with. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by it all, give us a call today. You’ll be speaking with a talented member of our team who will be happy to talk with you to get a feel for your company’s current situation, and outline the various ways we can help you.

Our goal is to take care of the details so you can focus on your core business and increase your bottom line. We look forward to working with you!
